Bicycle and e-bike
Most common in city centres. low running costs, easy parking. An e-bike covers longer distances with less effort.
Scooter, moped, or e-scooter

Car

Equipment: thermal delivery bag
You can order a thermal bag through Uber. the quality is often good. It is usually cheaper to buy a used bag on OLX or local Facebook marketplace groups.
Document verification
Document checks usually take 1–2 days, sometimes 3–4. During signup, Uber Eats asks for a photo of your documents next to a thermal bag. borrow one from a friend or buy it in advance.
Scooter and car: licence and insurance
For a scooter and a car you need a valid driving licence and vehicle insurance: Polish law applies regardless of platform.
In-app checks: selfie, vehicle, and helmet
Uber may ask for a face scan during the day to confirm it is really you on the account. Sometimes it also asks for a photo of your vehicle.
If your profile says scooter, the app may sometimes require a helmet selfie. Without a helmet, some couriers pass a “safety check” in other ways. couriers joke that sometimes a cooking pot on your head is enough (yes, literally a pot). Launch Uber before you head out. especially if you ride without a helmet or use a moto account while on an e-bike.
On average, a moto account often pays off best per delivery. That is what couriers who work daily usually say.
Rain and peak season often pay better on Uber Eats. Dynamic rates go up noticeably on those days.
Useful features and practical tips
Customer not answering or wrong address
When you arrive and the customer does not respond or the pin is wrong, start the in-app timer, wait about 7–10 minutes, and. if they do not show up. you may keep the order for yourself (unless they appear earlier).
Cancelling after a breakdown
You can technically cancel an accepted order (e.g. a flat tyre) and keep the food. We do not encourage abuse. karma is real. Experienced couriers say one cancellation per 100–150 deliveries is often tolerated, but keep your own photo of the breakdown ready. Stock photos from the internet usually fail review.
Tips, tourists, and hotels
Tips on Uber Eats can be higher than on other apps. especially from foreigners and hotel deliveries. Unlike some competitors, Uber tips often appear after the delivery is completed. stay polite and deliver warm food.
